My research interests focus on understanding sex-specific mechanisms of lung inflammation in response to air pollution exposure. Specifically, my lab is interested in understanding the role of sex hormones in the control of inflammatory gene expression and immune responses.

 

Our commitment to studying sex-specific mechanisms of lung inflammation is based on accumulating evidence reporting sex and gender differences in lung disease susceptibility, and disparities in the efficacy of available treatments.
